Yaki Naran Powder is the dried and finely ground leaf of yaki naran, the Sri Lankan plant named on the pack as Atalantia ceylanica. This 50g pouch comes from the Nature Herbals range, a product of Boost Botanicals (Private) Limited, and is made in Sri Lanka.
The powder is dehydrated and plant-based, with a soft green colour that shows through the clear window on the back of the pouch. Yaki naran belongs to the citrus family, and the front label pairs a photograph of its glossy leaves with a small heap of the finished powder.
The maker suggests stirring the powder into hot water, leaving it for a few minutes and drinking it as a tea. It can also be mixed into porridge or other food, and the pack notes that porridge can be made with it as the contents are entirely yaki naran.
It is packed in a white resealable stand-up pouch with bilingual Sinhala and English labelling. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from insects. Yaki Naran Powder is offered as a traditional preparation, not as a medicine.
