About this experience
Board your air-conditioned vehicle in Colombo and head an hour out to Sri Lanka's first-ever ATV Adventure Trail — a 50-acre forest park where the terrain is rocky, uneven, and genuinely challenging. Your English-speaking instructor hands out safety equipment, walks you through the controls of a Can-Am Outlander 450 ATV, then sends you onto a dedicated training track until you're confident behind the wheel. First-timers are well catered for; riders must be at least seven years old to join. This is a private tour throughout.
The trail winds across rugged ground towards two dramatic viewpoints: a breath-taking rocky lookout point and the sweeping Elephant Rock Panoramic Lookout, where the surrounding mountains stretch all the way to Colombo's commercial district on the horizon. If the terrain gets too demanding, passenger seats are available on select ATVs. After taking in both summits, you return to the assembly point and your air-conditioned vehicle delivers you back to your Colombo hotel. Hotel pickup is included; bring money for food, drinks, and personal expenses.
