About this experience
This two-day tour runs from Colombo into Sri Lanka's hill country, travelling with a private chauffeur guide throughout. The route takes in Kandy's Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and a working tea factory before climbing to the highland town of Nuwara Eliya, known to the British as 'Little England'. The second day is built around Horton Plains National Park, with its grasslands, cloud forest and the World's End escarpment, before the return drive to Colombo.
Travellers get a compact introduction to the hill country's mix of culture, tea heritage and highland scenery, with stops chosen to cover a religious landmark, a tea plantation and a national park trek in a short span of time.
The tour is private throughout, with two 500 ml water bottles per person per day included. Hotel accommodation, meals and site entrance fees are arranged separately and are not included. Minimum age for travellers is 12.
