The Seedless Tahiti Lime is a medium-sized, almost thornless citrus tree with a spreading, slightly drooping growth habit. Its bright green leaves have winged petioles, and new buds and flowers often display a subtle purplish tint. The fruit is small, oval to obovoid, with a smooth, thin rind and pale yellow, seedless flesh. Exceptionally juicy and more sour than common lemons, it has a distinct lime aroma. Cold-hardy and reflowering, this variety is ideal for continuous harvesting. Though named in California after being imported from Tahiti, its exact origin remains uncertain.
