About this experience
This four-day private tour runs from Colombo into the cool central highlands of Sri Lanka, with a chauffeur guide driving you throughout. After an evening in the capital, the route climbs through tea country to Nuwara Eliya, with stops at a waterfall, a temple and a working tea factory, before a dedicated day is given over to Horton Plains National Park.
Inside the park, the tour covers the montane grasslands and cloud forest of Horton Plains, taking in the World's End escarpment and the spray of Baker's Falls, with chances to spot endemic wildlife along the way. Nuwara Eliya itself, a former British hill station, is explored on foot past its colonial-era cottages, post office and parks.
The pace is unhurried, with one city or region covered per day and a chauffeur guide handling the driving and logistics throughout, from the airport pickup in Colombo to the final transfer back for departure.
