About this experience
Spend 11 days tracking Sri Lanka's remarkable butterfly diversity across the island's forests, wetlands, and hill country. Travelling in a private vehicle with a dedicated English-speaking chauffeur guide, you move at a pace that suits careful observation — scanning tree canopies, riverbanks, and flowering scrub for species from the striking Ceylon Rose to the Common Birdwing. All transport and chauffeur accommodation are included, so logistics stay out of the way of your fieldwork.
Minimum age for participants is 12. Collecting specimens is strictly prohibited under Sri Lankan law, and nets are not permitted inside Protected Areas. Lakpura organises this as a fully private tour, meaning the itinerary revolves entirely around your group. Entrance fees, personal expenses, and international or domestic airfare are arranged separately.
