Meeting Point:
Your chauffeur will meet you at the arrival area of Hambantota Seaport and transfer you directly to the park entrance for the safari.
Experience:
Your private safari at the Bundala National Park begins after ticket verification at the main entrance. As the jeep moves through lagoons and open grasslands, you will have ample opportunities to observe wildlife in their natural surroundings. The calm wetlands and reservoir banks attract numerous animals, especially during the early morning and late afternoon hours.
The safari drive takes you through varied terrain where you may encounter elephants, Spotted Deer, Wild Water Buffalo, Crocodiles, Monitor Lizards, and a wide variety of resident and migratory birds. Species such as flamingos, pelicans, painted storks, ibises, and birds of prey are frequently seen, making Bundala one of the best locations in Sri Lanka for bird photography and wildlife observation.
The park’s scenic lagoons are ideal for photography, with flocks of birds feeding in shallow waters while reptiles bask along the banks. Occasional sightings of elephants and other mammals add to the excitement. After completing the safari, you will be comfortably transferred back to Hambantota Seaport in time for your cruise departure.
