Sri Lankan Cooking Class from Kandy

Guided by an experienced local chef, each guest is given the opportunity to prepare a traditional Sri Lankan food that spells out the true flavours of our island nation. Sri Lankan cuisine is well known for its beautiful combination of spices, herbs, seafood, meat, poultry, grains, rice and vegetables. Famed for its true authenticity of flavours and seasonal cuisine, its ideal that you try out a class where you are enlightened with easy cooking skills and techniques to create a true Sri Lankan meal.

• Own cooking stations and ingredients
• Lunch or Dinner depending on the time you choose for the activity

Experience:

A hands-on cooking experience awaits you with your own cooking station and ingredients which will be provided to you at the venue. You will be guided through a step by step process of how to prepare a traditional home cooked meal which includes everyday staples such as a dhal curry or a breadfruit curry. A meat or fish item will be added to the menu as well. You can also enjoy the meal for lunch or dinner depending on the start time of the cooking class. Some of the highlights of the entire experience include how to break open a coconut which is a key ingredient in Sri Lankan cuisine. Guests are educated about how to cook up delicious Sri Lankan meals while listening to some folklore of Sri Lanka as well. You will receive printed recipes of the cooked meals.
