Sri Lanka has a long history of producing luxury goods carved in ivory, often for the European market. Carved ivory earpicks from Sri Lanka are relatively rare. This example is carved from a single piece of ivory. It features a small scoop at one end and an eyelet at the other to allow it to be suspended.
