Mitsubishi Pajero
三菱パジェロは、三菱が4世代にわたって製造・販売していたフルサイズのSUV（スポーツユーティリティビークル）で、1981年に登場し、2021年に生産終了しました。
パジェロという名前は、Leopardus pajeros、パンパスキャットに由来しています。三菱は、北米、スペイン、ラテンアメリカ（ブラジルとジャマイカを除く）では、このSUVを「モンテロ」という名前で販売しました。「パジェロ」という言葉はスペイン語で侮辱的な意味を持つため（「バカ」や「アホ」を意味する）、この名称が使用されました。イギリスでは「ショーグン」という名前で知られていました（？？）、これは「将軍」を意味する日本語から取られた名前です。北米では2006年に生産が終了しました。
パジェロ、モンテロ、ショーグンという名前は、メカニカルには無関係な他のモデルにも使用されました。例えば、パジェロミニ軽自動車、パジェロジュニア、パジェロiO/PininミニSUV、およびトライトン/パジェロ/モンテロ/ショーグンスポーツの中型SUVなどです。パジェロは、三菱の4つのモデルの1つであり（他にはトライトン、パジェロスポーツ、パジェロiO）、三菱のスーパーセレクト四輪駆動システムを共有しており、軽量な三菱S-AWC全輪駆動システムとは異なります。
パジェロは、その40年の歴史の中で330万台以上の販売を記録しました。その名前は、三菱トライトン/L200/ストラダピックアップを基にした小型のパジェロスポーツに引き継がれています。名前は似ていますが、パジェロスポーツは元のパジェロの基盤を一切共有せず、全体的にサイズも小さくなっています。
