マラダナ駅

マラダナ駅は、スリランカのコロンボの主要な鉄道ハブです。この駅にはスリランカ鉄道が乗り入れており、毎日多くの都市間列車や通勤列車が発着します。いくつかの都市間電車の終点です。マラダナには、郊外とコロンボを結ぶネットワークの集中交通管制センターがあります。 1864 年にセイロン (スリランカ) で鉄道が初めて開通したとき、列車はマラダナ近くの現在は廃止されたコロンボターミナル駅で終点になりました。 1906 年に、コロンボ地域内の鉄道を再編するプロジェクトが開始されました。コロンボターミナル駅は閉鎖され、新しいマラダナ駅に置き換えられました。

コロンボフォート駅は、コロンボの新しい中央駅として 1917 年に開業しました。現在、マラダナとフォートはコロンボへの主要な鉄道玄関口です。

この駅には北東から本線が乗り入れており、スリランカの鉄道網の他のいくつかの主要路線につながっています。駅の南東では、ケラニバレーラインがマラダナとコロンボの他の多くのエリアを結んでいます。駅の西側にはゴールとマータラにつながるコースタル線が通っています。これらの沿岸線の列車のほとんどはマラダナ駅で終点になります。
