Domaine de Nilagama
Le
domaine de Nilagama est la marque de fabrique du domaine de Pelmadulla, situé entre les villes de Pelmadulla et Kahawatte, dans le district de Ratnapura. Cette région est réputée pour ses vastes gisements de pierres précieuses, dont le saphir bleu, et on pense que le domaine de Pelmadulla possède lui-même de nombreuses ressources inexploitées. L'altitude du domaine se situe entre 183 et 244 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer, l'usine de thé étant située à 189 mètres. Le domaine a été créé en 1905 avec le caoutchouc comme principale culture avant l'introduction du thé en 1924.
