Ville de Minneriya

Emplacement : Minneriya est situé à 201 km de Colombo dans la province du Centre-Nord du Sri Lanka.

Accès à Minneriya : Minneriya est accessible par les routes principales depuis Colombo via Habarana, sur la route menant au site classé au patrimoine mondial de Polonnaruwa.

Ville de Minneriya : Minneriya est une petite ville située à 6 km à l’est du village de Habarana, sur la route vers le site du patrimoine mondial de Polonnaruwa.

Transport à Minneriya : Habarana, un important centre de transport du Triangle culturel avec des complexes écologiques haut de gamme, est situé à 6 km à l’ouest de Minneriya.

Parc national de Minneriya : L’ancien réservoir d’eau de pluie de Minneriya, situé dans le Parc national de Minneriya, abrite de grands troupeaux d’éléphants. Parmi les autres mammifères du parc figurent les cerfs sambar, les cerfs tachetés, les ours lippus et les léopards. Le parc national de Minneriya fait partie d’un corridor d’éléphants reliant le Parc national de Kaudulla et le Parc national de Wasgamuwa. De juillet à octobre, de grands troupeaux d’éléphants se rassemblent autour du réservoir de Minneriya lorsque les sources d’eau des environs s’assèchent.

About Polonnaruwa District

Polonnaruwa is the 2nd largest city in north central province in Sri Lanka.
