Um den Tourismus im Land anzukurbeln, hat Sri Lanka Railways beschlossen, einen neuen Zug namens „Seethawaka Odyssey“ auf der Strecke durch das Kelani-Tal einzusetzen.
Die „Seethawaka Odyssey“ wird innerhalb der nächsten zwei Wochen in den Dienst gestellt.
Die „Seethawaka Odyssey“ fährt von Fort Colombo zum Bahnhof Waga und macht auf der Strecke Halt an zahlreichen Sehenswürdigkeiten.
Die Passagiere können zahlreiche Wasserfälle besichtigen, darunter Ranmudu Ella, Kumari Ella und Goraka Ella, sowie zahlreiche andere Touristenattraktionen, darunter den Seethawaka Wet Zone Botanic Gardens.
