In der Natur ähnelt Zimt der Sorte M4 stark dem Zimt der Sorte M5 und unterscheidet sich hauptsächlich im Durchmesser, der üblicherweise zwischen 18 und 20 mm liegt. Aufgrund seines angenehmen Geruchs und Geschmacks ist er in Mexiko und anderen europäischen Ländern sehr beliebt.
