NHRC Jethawana Stupaya

(SKU: LSB100F3A0) The Jetavanaramaya stupa is located among the ruins of Jetavana in Sri Lanka's historic world heritage city of Anuradhapura. Following the destruction of the Mahavihara, Mahasena of Anuradhapura (273-301) began building the stupa. His son Maghavanna finished the stupa's construction. The stupa stands 400 feet (122 meters) tall, making it one of the highest stupa in the ancient world. The relic said to be enshrined here is a part of a sash or belt knotted by the Buddha.
