Spend 90 minutes inside Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, taking in the lighthouse, the National Maritime Museum, and cobblestoned Dutch colonial streets. The day closes at the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, where you spend half an hour learning about the five sea turtle species that nest on Sri Lanka's coast, handle hatchlings, and see injured adults in recovery.
