You will be met by our tour guide at the piers of the Trincomalee Harbour where your Whale Watching Tour will commence at 6.00 am. The journey by boat takes approximately 2 hours to reach the deep waters of the Indian Ocean where the whales are commonly spotted. The boat reduces its speed and engine noise when it is nearer to the site and will be stopping at a safe distance at least 300 feet away. Your closest approach will be approximately 100 feet.

These waters, off the coast of Trincomalee are inhabited by many types of whales including blue whales, sperm whales, fin whales and even an occasional orca. On calm days you can even spot schools of dolphins swimming by. These mammals are best seen during the months of December and April when the seas become comparatively calmer.
