The Dambulla Cave Temple which is also referred to as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is famed as the largest cave temple complex in Sri Lanka, listing it as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Cave Complex which is atop of a rock that towers about 160 metres gives splendid views of the surrounding lowland plains in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka. Also known as the Rangiri Dambulla Cave Temple, this has been a coveted sacred pilgrimage site for 22 centuries, while the cave monastery boasts of 5 sanctuaries with Buddhist murals and statues spread across.

An Entrance Ticket booking through Lakpura will enable you to enter the site without a hassle and avoid long queues during crowded days. Please note, that you will need a physical ticket to enter the grounds and this has to be in your possession prior to entering. The booking from Lakpura will be a reference only. The physical ticket can be obtained by us or get it delivered upon request and it is advised that this is done in advance to avoid any delays. Additional services of an English speaking guide can also be booked through Lakpura as well.

Discounts: Citizens of SAARC member countries are eligible for discounted entrance tickets. Please present your passport at the time of purchase to avail of the discount.
