The Apsara restaurant looks across the lake towards the Sigiriya Rock Fortress and serves Western and Eastern dishes, the Sulang offers light refreshments in a relaxed setting, and the Graffiti bar pours the spirits; dinner can be taken under the stars or in your dwelling. The spa has private massage and treatment rooms with a steam room and plunge pool, and there is an infinity pool, meditation and yoga, a library, a gift shop and packages for a traditional Sri Lankan wedding.
The hotel's own land offers treks and walks through its habitats, bird-watching walks can be arranged, and staff will pack a picnic lunch for a bicycle ride through the surrounding fields. The Sigiriya Rock Fortress is about 5 km away, with its palace ruins, frescoes, gardens and ponds, and Dambulla and Polonnaruwa are within reach for a day out.
