Kegalle City

デディガマ スティガラ ストゥーパ
デディガマ コタ ヴェヘラとしても知られるスティガラ チェティヤは、パラクラマバフ大王 (1153 ~ 1186 年) によって建てられました。サバラガムワ州ケーガッラ地区のデディガマ村にあります。仏塔へは、Nelundeniya - Galapitamada 道路 (B540) に沿って移動するとアクセスできます。現場はネルンデニヤ交差点からわずか 4 km です。
スティカガラヤとは出生地を意味する。ラトナヴァリ女王はこの場所で男の子を出産しました。これ 少年は後にパラクラマバフ大王(1153-1186)となる。
この仏塔は大規模な改修は行われていませんが、発掘調査により、この仏塔は別の小さな仏塔の上に建てられていることが判明しました。小さな仏塔は東側のペサ・ワラルの近くで発見されました。これは直径36フィートでした。これらの仏塔は両方ともほぼ同時期に建てられたことが判明しています。
出産が行われた正確な場所に小さな仏塔が建てられ、その後その周囲に大きな仏塔が建てられたと考えられています。大きい方の仏塔の直径は 256 フィート、高さは 47 フィートです。仏塔の上部は平らで、面積は約 26,000 平方フィートです。
この仏塔にどのような遺物が祀られていたかは不明ですが、10の遺物室からは大量の遺物が発見されています。このうち、最も重要なものは金属製の象のランプです。
