Dumbara Kithul Jaggery Cubes: 25 small cubes of kithul jaggery, each 8g and wrapped on its own, in a 200g box. Dumbara makes the jaggery by boiling kithul palm sap until it sets, then cutting it into neat cubes that are easy to measure.
Kithul jaggery (kithul hakuru) is the solid form of kithul treacle. In Sri Lanka a piece is eaten with plain tea, and the jaggery goes into kewum, aluwa, weli thalapa and other sweets, as the side of the pack explains. It is soft and crumbly, with a deep caramel taste.
