Harischandra Kurakkan Flour is 100% kurakkan (finger millet) flour, milled to a coarse grade and packed in 400g bags. Kurakkan flour was one of the first packed products of Harischandra, in 1953, after the business began by milling rice, kurakkan and chillies in Matara in 1943.
Kurakkan has a nutty, earthy taste and a red brown colour, and it is a staple flour of village cooking in Sri Lanka. The pack carries the Sri Lanka Standards Institution mark for kurakkan flour (SLS 928).
