Location: Beruwala is located 55 km south of Colombo in the western coastal belt.
Reaching Beruwala: Beruwala can be reached by main Colombo-Galle motor road (A2) as well as by Colombo-Galle-Matara southern railway line. Beginning from Beruwala, Sri Lanka's south western and southern beaches spread along the coastal belt for 205 km till it reaches 2 km long beach of Rekawa, 10 km east of Tangalle.
