Set out from Wadduwa on a full-day private tour that takes in two of the southern coast's most distinctive stops. The afternoon belongs to Galle Fort, the UNESCO-listed Dutch colonial citadel that rises above the Indian Ocean. Walk the broad ramparts, peer down at the crashing surf, and explore the original town streets — churches, warehouses, and merchants' houses still intact after three centuries.
