About this experience
Board your private vehicle in Bentota and head south to Udawalawe National Park, one of Sri Lanka's premier wildlife reserves. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide handles all driving, parking, and highway tolls, so you settle in and watch the landscape shift from coastal lowlands to open parkland. Two 500 ml water bottles per person are provided each day. The tour runs over two days and one night; accommodation and meals are arranged separately.
Inside the park you join two half-day safaris — one in daylight and one at dusk — covering ground where large elephant herds gather around natural lakes and springs. Keep your eyes open for water buffalo, wild boar, spotted deer, sambur deer, jackal, mongoose, bandicoot, fox, black-naped hare, and the endemic toque macaque and grey langur. Entrance fees are paid on arrival and are not included in the tour price. Minimum age is five years.
