About this experience
Your private, air-conditioned vehicle collects you from your Ahungalla hotel and heads south along the coast for an 11-hour day that mixes nature, history, and beach time. Board a boat for a safari through the mangrove waterways of Madu River, then continue to Metiyagoda to see the moonstone mines before the road leads you into the old city of Galle — walk the ramparts and cobblestone lanes of the UNESCO-listed fort at your own pace.
The afternoon brings you to Unawatuna's white-sand beach, where you can cool off before your English-speaking chauffeur guide returns you to Ahungalla. A water bottle per person is included; entrance tickets, meals, and gratuities are at your own expense. The tour is private and open to travellers aged five and above, keeping the day entirely at your group's pace.
