Climb into a modified classic Volkswagen Beetle and spend four hours exploring the countryside around Bentota. Your English-speaking "Volkswagen Buddie" collects you from your hotel, then guides you through the village's most scenic spots — rice paddies, river backwaters, and local landmarks — all seen from the open charm of a vintage car that turns heads wherever it rolls. Each person receives a litre of bottled mineral water, and morning-tour guests are taken through the Lunuganga Estate, the celebrated garden designed by architect Geoffrey Bawa.
This is a private tour, so the itinerary belongs entirely to your group. Hotel pick-up and drop-off are included, as is transport throughout in the Volkswagen. Note that entrance fees to Bawa Garden, meals, personal expenses, and gratuities are not covered. Minimum age for participants is five years.
