Surrounded by untouched tropical forests and crystal clear streams, the Ella Jungle Resort is located right along the banks of 'Kirindi Oya' River which runs through the Uva Province of Sri Lanka. The property is spread across a lush jungle of 150 acres while the famous 'Ella Gap' is a few kilometres away. Ella is located in the Badulla district while the distance from Colombo to Ella is approximately 210km. Ella is also famous as a trekker's paradise with many rocky cliffs, caves, waterfalls and jungles surrounding the area. The Ella Jungle Resort is about a 30 minute drive away from Bandarawela.
Accommodation
The Ella Jungle Resort offers accommodation units in the form of eco lodges while the property is ideal for the true nature and adventure enthusiast. The resort comprises of 12 eco lodges while all units offer guests beautiful river front settings. You can fall asleep and wake up to the soothing sounds of the surrounding jungles. All lodges have been built in harmony with nature with minimum impact on the natural setting. All lodges are comfortable and well equipped for the convenience of the guests.
Facilities
The restaurant at the Ella Jungle Resort caters to approximately 50 guests at one seating but guests are also offered the option of dining privately. The food can be savoured at the restaurant or a location of choice since the property consists of many picturesque locations. Guests are advised to experience all three meals in different locations since the resort aims to provide guests with the best familiarity. One of the specialities of the Ella Jungle Resort is the vegetarian BBQ while there is a wide range of vegetarian food served prepared mainly according to traditional Sri Lankan recipes.
The resort also consists of a number sitting areas and decks that are scattered throughout the entire property. There is a campfire at night where you can sit around and simply take in the ambience.
