The five bedroom villa is perched high on a hillside between Mirissa and Matara, set within a couple of acres of tropical gardens made up of neatly manicured lawns, blooming borders and untamed jungle that winds down a staircase to the deserted beach below. Below the bright white sun - drenched pool terrace, a flight of steps leads down to a lower lawn topped with another pavilion that makes the perfect spot for daytime BBQs. Within the gorgeous garden itself, there's a sunset pavilion flushed with cushioned loungers for soaking up the magical end of day light show and even an eastern lookout if dawn is more your thing.

Location of Pointe Sud, Weligama

Found at the Southern most point of Sri Lanka, Pointe Sud is located between Matara and Mirissa in the beautiful town of Weligama. The property is located in a 7 acre land spread with stunning tropical foliage which ultimately descends to a deserted beach. Weligama is approximately 144km south of Colombo while the Southern Expressway and the Colombo - Galle - Matara main motorway are easy routes to take. The Southern Railway line also operates to Weligama.

Pointe Sud in Weligama offers a beautiful atmosphere along with the ambience of a bygone era. The Villa consists of a Master Suite with an en-suite bathroom as well as its own private garden area. The Villa also comprises of 4 more bedrooms with en-suite bath/shower rooms while all guestrooms are adorned with air-conditioning, antique teak furnishings and beautiful four poster beds. The living quarters of the staff members are separated from the guests but they will take care of your every requirement when requested.

Facilities at Pointe Sud, Weligama

Surrounded by a tropical garden which descends in a number of terraces to a beautiful beach area, Pointe Sud is the perfect location for an elegant and quiet holiday by the South beach of Sri Lanka. The main drawing room of the villa has a 16m high vaulted ceiling and teak floors that are over a century old. Guests can choose to dine in the drawing room or even outside and on the main terrace. There is a menu that is available to choose from or guests can make a special request and the rations will be purchased accordingly.

The Pavilion is a fine place where you can relax and enjoy some reading whilst taking in the magnificent views of the surroundings. Pointe Sud Villa also boasts of a 50ft length infinity pool which is located on a suspended level above the gardens with impeccable views. The Massage and Yoga pavilion is perfect to relax, meditate and rejuvenate your senses. Activities that you can enjoy include surfing and snorkelling while you can learn to dive with your own personal PADI diving instructor.

Excursions and Day Tours from Pointe Sud, Weligama 

There are locations that you can enjoy body surfing at the Mirissa Beach which is about 5 miles away while you can enjoy a boat trip along the river closer to the town of Matara where you can witness crocodiles and natural swamps. Sailing and deep sea fishing excursions can also be made. Guests are also offered the opportunity of hiring a sea plane and visiting various locations in the island. The South of the island consists of some of the most beautiful beaches and you can enjoy a number of water sports or simply get a tan by enjoying the sun and sand.
