Elephant Lake is located in the vicinity of the Yala National park which is approximately 240 km away from the commercial capital of Colombo. Colombo which is located about 20 minutes away from the Bandaranaike International Airport is also the transportation hub of the country. The city offers options such as buses, motor cars/ vans, seaplanes and helicopters as transport. The bus being the cheapest mode runs up to Tissamaharama which is about 10 minutes away from Elephant Lake. A helipad is also available 10 minutes away.
