Cassia senna - Shrub or suffruticose perennials, to about 3 m tall. Leaves eglandular (3 -) 5 – 9 (- 12) pairs of leaflets; leafet lanceolate to elliptic or ovate, 1.2 – 5 ( - 6) X 3 – 10 (- 15) cm, usually acute at the apex, rounded at the base, pubescent to glabrous on both surfaces. Inflorescence terminal or axillary, racemose, (7 -) 10 – 30 flowered, flowers yellow. Fruit oblong, subfalcate, dehiscent, about 4 – 10 seeded. Seeds compressed, reticulate or rugose.
