キャンディの聖歯舎利寺は、仏教で最も尊敬されている聖地の一つであり、ユネスコ世界遺産に指定されています。金箔で装飾された複雑な装飾が施された聖堂の中には、ブッダの聖なる歯の舎利が安置されており、世界中から巡礼者と訪問者を引き寄せています。この複合施設は17世紀に遡り、スリランカの文化的および宗教的歴史を形成した王室の遺産を持っています。
