Gampaha Wickramaratchi was a prominent Ayurveda scholar and well renowned physician. His work has been widely accredited and he was the first to be awarded the title of ‘Ayurveda Chakravarthi Raja Vaidya’ by the government of Sri Lanka, which is the highest honour that can be accorded to an Ayurveda physician.
