Hambantota City

نبذة عن مقاطعة هامبانتوتا


هامبانتوتا مدينة ريفية تقع في المنطقة الساحلية الجنوبية الشرقية لسريلانكا. وهي أيضًا عاصمة مقاطعة هامبانتوتا في المقاطعة الجنوبية لسريلانكا. تبعد هامبانتوتا حوالي 240 كيلومترًا عن كولومبو، وهي في خضم عملية تحول إلى ميناء استراتيجي ومركز تجاري، وتخضع لتطوير واسع النطاق للبنية التحتية. وتُعد هامبانتوتا، التي تحيط بها شواطئ رملية واسعة، موقعًا مناسبًا لزيارة المعالم السياحية القريبة.

المقاطعة الجنوبية لسريلانكا هي منطقة جغرافية صغيرة تتكون من مقاطعات جالي وماتارا وهامبانتوتا. الزراعة المعيشية وصيد الأسماك هي المصدر الرئيسي للدخل بالنسبة للغالبية العظمى من سكان هذه المنطقة.
